Headspace, damnit! You need it for the delicious aromas to get all up in your nose holes before your tongue gets to do its thing. Smell is (more than) half of taste.

Also, since we're looking at a Belgian, probably a 500 mL glass & 330 mL bottle.

Good beer choice btw, next time try Kwak (it's an amber ale from the same brewery as Tripel Karmeliet). The Kwak glass is one of my favourite beer glasses!
